🗑️ How to Delete Your Data
We provide three convenient methods for you to request data deletion:
Method 1: Self-Service Account Deletion
- Log in to Your Account: Visit DivineMatch.org and log in with your credentials
- Navigate to Account Settings: Click on your profile picture or username at the top right corner and select “Account Settings” from the dropdown menu
- Request Data Deletion: Scroll to the “Data Deletion” or “Delete Account” section and click on “Delete My Account”
- Confirm Deletion: You will be prompted to confirm your decision. Click “Confirm Deletion” to proceed
- Completion: Your data will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days
Method 2: Email Request
- Send an Email: Email support@divinematch.org with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”
- Include Required Information:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Facebook ID (if you logged in via Facebook)
- Any other identifying information
- Verification: Our support team will verify your identity and process your request within 48 hours
- Completion: Your data will be deleted within 30 days
Method 3: Facebook App Data Deletion
If you logged in to DivineMatch using your Facebook account:
- Access Facebook Settings: Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy
- Navigate to Apps: Click Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find DivineMatch: Locate DivineMatch in your connected apps list
- Request Deletion: Click Remove or Request Data Deletion
- Completion: Your Facebook-connected data will be deleted within 30 days
📋 What Data Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, bio, photos, preferences)
- Personal details and contact information
- Messages and communications history
- Account credentials and login information
- Activity logs and browsing history
- All data received from Facebook (if connected via Facebook Login)
- Cookies and tracking data associated with your account
- Matching preferences and compatibility data
⏱️ Data Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Account access is removed, and you can no longer log in
- Within 30 days: Complete data deletion from active systems and databases
- Within 90 days: Deletion from backups and archives
✉️ Confirmation
You will receive email confirmation at two stages:
- When your deletion request is received and being processed
- When your data deletion is complete
⚠️ Important Notes
- Data Retention: Some data may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records, transaction history) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention). Retained data is minimal and anonymized where possible.
- Data Recovery: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Ensure you have saved any important information before initiating the deletion process.
- Third-Party Data: Data shared with third-party services (e.g., Facebook) through our platform will also be deleted from our systems. However, you may need to separately request deletion from those third-party services.
- Aggregated Data: Anonymized, aggregated data used for statistical analysis may be retained, as it cannot be used to identify you personally.
